I like this better than a standard ups because of the display and because it connects to your computer via usb. With the usb connection, this unit will power off your computer when there is about 5 min of battery power left. So even if you aren't at home it will soft shut down. Gave it 4 stars since it only has a few min of power time.
With all computer equipment off, the UPS indicates that I have 100 minutes left. Well.I have had the unit for such a short time and have not had to put it to any real test. It also indicates that there is virtually no power being used. According to the smart LCD display on front, it indicates that it will do everything that I want. In addition to protection of my computer equipment, I want to keep my DECT 6 phone going as long as possible. I suspect that 100 minutes is the max read out and that the unit would actually keep the phone running for several days. I hope that another hurricane like Ike doesn't put it to a test.
Everything the unit should be and more, simple set-up, nice LCD interface, small size when compared to legacy units.
The unit is working very well and has the capacity I need for my machine.
Pros = great product - easy setup - good lookingCons = shipping packing from Amazon was not good for this heavy item - box was damaged as packing material was not enough to secure allowing movement during transportation - Cyberpower packing was great so no damage to product only box.Bottom Line - would recommend the product but wish there was wider spacing between plugs as hard to accommodate transformers.
